Three farmers in the north receive gold medals

Luleå Three dairy farmers in the north are receiving gold medals from the King of Sweden.

LRF Mjölk (the Swedish Farmers' Union) is behind the gold medal awarded to dairy farmers who have delivered milk of the highest quality for 23 years. This year, a total of eight of Sweden's 3,000 dairy companies will receive a gold medal from the King. Three of them operate in northern Sweden:

Ulla and Anders Bergström, Svensbyn in Piteå. 75 cows. Ulla Bergström was previously chairman of the cooperative, farmer-owned dairy company Norrmejerier.

Hans and Helena Granberg, Umeå. 36 cows.

Anna-Karin and Sven Gustafsson, Robertsfors. 35 cows.

Other medal winners are:

Karl & Erik Larsson, Mellerud.
Lennart & Erna Eriksson, Fjärås.
Tage Karlsson, Tidaholm.
Karin Hylander Tobiasson & Mats Tobiasson, Nyköping.
Ingrid & Henrik Sommar, Västerås.

On 7 April, The King presented the medals at a ceremony in Stockholm.
