Austrian company books 40 cabins

Luleå/Boden An Austrian company has booked 40 camping cabins in Luleå and Boden for a total of 230 nights. A booking worth SEK 6.3 million.

The Austrian booking in January is a record booking for the cabin host, the camping company First Camp, which operates camping facilities in Luleå and Boden, among others.

According to the company, the booking is an example of a growing trend where companies book camping cabins for their employees. In 2024, corporate bookings at First Camp's 70 destinations in the Nordic region increased by 7 percent compared to the previous year.

“Businesses appreciate the affordability and homeliness of cabin accommodation, especially in an environment where cost control and convenience are key. We see a steady influx of guests from all over Europe working on large construction and industrial projects,” says Filip Lundberg, Sales Manager at First Camp.

The trend applies not only in Sweden but also in other countries, when companies need accommodation in connection with large projects.
