Twelve northern women on the 40 list
The organizations Jernkontoret, Svemin and Industriarbetsgivarna (Industrial Employers) produce the 40 over 40 list. They do this to draw attention to and highlight women in heavy industry who have made special efforts in their field and who are good role models for the mining and steel industries.
The list includes these women in operations in Norrbotten and Västerbotten:
Helena Axheim, Head of Central Maintenance, SSAB, Luleå
Linda Bjurholm, Area Manager Logistics, LKAB
Terese Edholm, Automation Manager, ABB Luleå
Maria Persson Gulda, Technical Manager Stegra AB
Frida Keskitalo, Financial Manager Viscaria
Carina Lejon, Head of Department Svappavaara Processing, LKAB
Lisette Mikaelsson, Site and Production Manager SSAB Luleå
Ida-Linn Näzelius, Sustainability and Environmental Manager, Stegra AB
Emma Själlin, Communications Manager Talga AB
Sofia Utsi, Head of Department Rock and Concrete, LKAB
Pia Åkerfeldt, Associate Professor of Materials Engineering, LTU
Malin Rosenius, Maintenance Manager Boliden area, Boliden AB
For a woman to qualify for the 40 over 40 list, she needs to have solid professional experience in the mining and steel industries in a broad sense, be over 40 years old and be a good role model through commitment, expertise and inclusive teamwork.
"Gender equality in the industry should not be seen as just a vision. Rather, it is a necessity for sustainable development where creativity flourishes and where everyone feels equally involved in strengthening the competitiveness of Swedish industry. This year, we are particularly pleased that we have received even more nominations with skilled professional women than ever before,” says Annika Roos, CEO of Jernkontoret.
One of the 40 will be named Fairy of the Year on March 6.
