Nordic cooperation on transport infrastructure

Luleå The Swedish Transport Administration has initiated collaboration between the Nordic countries on Platform North.

Platform North is an initiative for stakeholders in the transport sector who want to exchange information, coordinate and collaborate on development efforts.

It is intended to be a regional cross-border cooperation forum. The background is the industrial investments that are underway, the green transition and the increased focus on military transport that is taking place in northern Sweden, northern Norway and northern Finland.

This week, the initiative will be presented at a press conference in Luleå attended by Roberto Maiorana, Director General of the Swedish Transport Administration, Andreas Carlson, Sweden's Minister for Housing and Infrastructure, Jon-Ivar Nygård, Norway's Minister of Transport, and Jarkko Saarimäki, Director General of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency.
