Assets in Northvolt start to be sold
In October last year, Northvolt's subsidiary Northvolt Expansion was declared bankrupt. It was Expansion that worked on the expansion of the battery factory in Skellefteå.
Now, unused production equipment purchased for SEK 5 billion is being sold. The sale is taking place through online auctions and tenders.
"This is a long, long process that we have ahead of us. We will start by focusing on fairly large production lines that are ready for battery manufacturing. We want to preserve the values as far as possible by selling it as a whole plant," says Per Henriksson, CEO of PS Auction, which is handling the sale for the bankruptcy trustee, to Dagens Industri.
