The Swedish-Finnish group NYAB receives major order in energy

Luleå Luleå-based company NYAB receives an order in the energy sector worth SEK 158 million. The construction of power lines will connect wind farms in Västerbotten to the electricity grid.

Vindlänken Elnät AB has ordered the construction of overhead power lines to connect the Lycksele cluster of wind farms to Vattenfall's regional grid.

The project involves connecting four wind farms with a total capacity of 224 megawatts. These are the Fjällberg Norra, Fjällberg Södra, Vinliden Norra and Vinliden Södra wind farms.

"This project is an important step in securing the region's supply of renewable energy and a continuation of NYAB's expansion in the energy sector. We look forward to working with Vindlänken Elnät AB on this project,” says Stefan Helmvall, Head of Energy at NYAB.

The work will start in October 2024 and is scheduled to be completed in May 2026.
