Railcare in five-year agreement with LKAB
The agreement extends from 2025 to 2029 and includes an option to extend the agreement for another three years, an extension worth SEK 210 million. In the event of a change in transportation needs, LKAB has the opportunity to cancel or reduce the scope of the assignment.
The assignment means that Railcare will transport raw materials with its own locomotives and drivers, but with LKAB's wagons.
“It's fantastic that we have this kind of confidence from LKAB, after having had shorter assignments in recent years. This long-term agreement is proof that our high delivery reliability is prioritized by customers who transport large values, where logistics is an essential part of the value chain. The agreement gives us stability and increased long-term thinking in our transportation operations,” says Mattias Remahl, President and CEO of Railcare Group.
Railcare Group has a turnover of approximately SEK 550 million and around 180 employees. The company is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Railcare Group is based in Skellefteå in Västerbotten.
