Wibax invests in Malmö

Piteå Piteå-based Wibax Group is investing SEK 100 million in its terminal in Malmö.

The investment is part of Wibax's strategic initiative to consolidate its role as a chemical supplier by expanding its storage capacity.

In Malmö, Wibax will build two new tanks with a total storage capacity of 20,000 cubic metres. This will allow it to accommodate larger vessels and increase delivery reliability for customers.

- The Malmö terminal is strategically located to receive ships from different parts of the world and through this investment it will become an important hub for Wibax's logistics chain, says Jonas Wiklund, CEO Wibax Group AB.

At the same time, the company is working on a project to manage its own electricity supply to the Malmö terminal, in order to achieve the goal of a 100% self-sufficient electric car fleet by 2030.

Wibax produces, customises and delivers chemicals and bio-oils, controlling the entire chain from producer to end customer.
