Darren Wilson new director at LKAB

The Special Products business area is working on the ongoing transformation to increase efficiency and secure access to strategic products and services. It will also create growth through production of critical minerals and development of new business.

Darren Wilson is currently CEO of LKAB's Industrial Minerals Division. He has been employed by LKAB since 2013 and has extensive international experience in mineral extraction, processing and production.

"He will drive both development of our internal service and product companies as well as the external industrial minerals sales, including the realisation of LKAB’s ambition to extract phosphorus and rare earth elements from mining waste. Darren’s long operational and commercial experience will be an important contribution to the group management team and will contribute to the further internationalisation of our business”, says Jan Moström, CEO and President of LKAB.

Darren Wilson will take up the position on January 1, 2024. He replaces Leif Boström who has chosen to retire after 31 years with LKAB.
