Lisette Mikaelsson new Site Manager at SSAB
She joins from SSAB in Oxelösund, where she was Head of Metallurgy. She is 48 years old, has a degree from Luleå University of Technology and has held various management roles within SSAB since 2007.
"I am very happy that Lisette has chosen to take on the role. With her good leadership qualities and solid experience from process and production development, SSAB now has the best conditions for the extensive transformation we will implement in the coming years and where Luleå plays a key role," says Lars Olsson, Head of Business Area Sweden SSAB Europe.
SSAB is facing major changes with the plans to change the current steel production with blast furnace and coke plant to an integrated electric steel plant with electric arc furnace, rolling mill and further processing.
"It is very exciting to have the opportunity to be part of the development towards fossil-free steel. At the same time, it is important to focus on developing current working methods, employees and production to achieve good results along the entire journey. I have already met many nice and committed employees and I feel that there is a great interest in the new things ahead," says Lisette Mikaelsson.
She grew up in Luleå, but left the city 25 years ago when she was a student.
"A lot has happened since I lived here, but it will be fun to get to know Luleå again."
