Fewer bankruptcies in Norrbotten

Bankruptcies in Sweden's northernmost county Norrbotten decreased in November. A development that is significantly better than that for Sweden as a whole. The development since the turn of the year is also significantly better in the north.

Since the turn of the year, bankruptcies in Norrbotten have increased, but the increase is significantly lower than for the country as a whole.

In November, 11 limited companies in Norrbotten went bankrupt. The same month last year, the number of bankruptcies was 14. This means a decrease of 21 percent since last year. In the country as a whole, bankruptcies increased from 792 in November last year to 904 this year, an increase of 14 percent.

During the first eleven months of the year, bankruptcies in Norrbotten have increased by 12 percent. The total number of bankruptcies so far this year is 103. For the country as a whole, bankruptcies so far this year have increased by 30 percent, to a total of 7,318 bankruptcies.

It is the credit information company Creditsafe that compiled the statistics based on statistics from the Swedish Companies Registration Office, Bolagsverket.
