Wibax starts new company and seeks CEO
Wibax Energy will produce and supply the group with sustainable electricity, from its own energy source, which will be new. The company will build its own charging infrastructure and provide power equivalent to the power consumed by the Wibax Group's electric trucks.
According to Wibax CEO Jonas Wiklund, the goal is also to eventually be able to make further business from the charging infrastructure by selling the excess capacity.
"We will have a 100 percent electrified vehicle fleet by 2030. In combination with that, we will become self-sufficient in electricity. Therefore, we are resuming the company name Wibax Energy that once existed, but now with a slightly different purpose," says Jonas Wiklund.
The company has already started and the first charging equipment has been purchased. During the fall, the build-up will continue. The plan is to be in full swing by the end of the year. They are now looking for a CEO for the new company. Preferably someone with insight into the electricity industry or the energy sector.
Wibax buys, sells, produces and distributes chemicals to basic industries throughout the Nordic region. The company has long worked to create a more sustainable transportation chain. Electrified heavy trucks and mobile charging stations are an important part of the group's sustainability work.
