Northvolt facilities

Skellefteå At Northvolt's battery factory in Skellefteå in northern Sweden, Northvolt Ett, battery production is up and running. Northvolt has several plants in Europe and North America, both in operation and planned.

Plants that are already in operation and under development:

Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå. Production of lithium-ion batteries.

Northvolt Labs, in Västerås in central Sweden. Research, development and industrialization centre.

Northvolt Ruberg, in San Leandro, USA. Research center for lithium metal batteries.

Northvolt Dwa, in Gdansk, Poland. Manufacturing of battery systems.

Hydrovolt, in Fredrikstad, Norway. Battery recycling in a joint venture with Norsk Hydro.

Planned facilities:

Northvolt Drei, in Heide, Germany. Manufacture of lithium-ion batteries.

Northvolt Novo, in Gothenburg, western Sweden. Research center and gigafactory in a joint venture with Volvo Cars.

Northvolt Fem, in Borlänge, in central Sweden. Production of materials for lithium-ion batteries.

Aurora, in Setubal, Portugal. Lithium refinery in a joint venture with Galp.
